The Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that its contractors have managed to clear the rubble from the landslide that had blocked off access to Wailoku Road earlier this morning.

It says that Wailoku Road is now open to all traffic.

Fijivillage has questioned whether FRA has a plan in place to permanently address the issue of landslides along Wailoku Road as this is a site that is prone to landslides after heavy rain.

FRA says that they will respond soon.

Meanwhile, FRA says that their contractors have managed to clear the heavy rocks from a landslide along that occurred Wainavida Crossing in Naitasiri that had blocked off access this morning.

It says that they are working to clear rubble from the landslide before the road is opened to traffic.
