Toulouse 7s: Fijiana 7s thumps South Africa 59-0 to book quarter final spot

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side will meet France in the cup quarter final after they piled 9 tries to thrash South Africa 59-0 in their final pool game at the Toulouse 7s in France.

South Africa struggled to get their hands on the ball and were left helpless throughout the game.

Fiji scored 4 tries in the first half and another 5 in the second spell.

Sesenieli Donu and Ana Naimasi scored a double each.

Other try scorers included Verenaisi Ditavutu, Lavenia Cavuru, Vani Buleki, Reapi Uluinasau and Alowesi Nakoci.

Fiji earlier beat USA 26-12, and lost to Australia 31-21.

In other cup quarter finals,New Zealand will face Brazil, Australia will take on USA and Canada will meet Ireland.

The women’s cup quarterfinals will start at 3.42am tomorrow, the semifinals will begin at 11.30pm tomorrow and the final will be played at 3.56am on Monday.

In other results: Ireland beat Brazil 17-14, Spain beat Scotland 17-7 and New Zealand beat Canada 17-0
