Total number of COVID-19 cases in Italy reaches 100,000

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Italy has reached more than 100,000 after 1648 new cases were confirmed yesterday.

However, the number of new cases has decreased for the fifth day in a row.

CNN has reported that 11,591 people have died from the virus in Italy so far where 812 deaths were recorded yesterday alone.

There are also 1,590 people who have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours which is the biggest daily increase since the beginning of the crisis.

A total of 14,620 people have recovered from the virus in Italy.
