Toga given 6 months for accepting a bribe
An Assistant Immigration Officer, Josateki Toga who accepted a bribe of $500 and a mobile phone from a Stephen Mallerich in July 2009, has been sentenced to six months imprisonment.

Toga was found guilty of two counts of bribery and one count of abuse of office before Justice Sitabaram Pillai Thurairaja.

He had accepted the bribe from Mallerich in return for obtaining the passport details and travel history of an individual from the Immigration Department.
