The Fijian government says throughout the years, Fiji and Australia’s bilateral relations have soared to greater heights through the Vuvale Partnership with strengthened person-to-person links and elevated engagements, and cooperation between the two nations.

While giving its message for Australia Day, the Fijian government say this year’s Australia Day could not have come at a better time as we get to share this day with the Australian visitors enjoying the best of the country, following the re-opening of our border.

The Fijian Government states that making Fiji and Australia's commitment to the Pacific even stronger, the troops from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces joined the Australian Defence Force, en route to Tonga, to conduct humanitarian and rehabilitation taskings following the volcanic eruptions which occurred in the island nation.

They have reaffirmed Fiji's commitment to continue working closely with Australia in building a brighter and more resilient future for the two nations and the Pacific.
