Three people have been questioned and released in relation to the fire at a shop and mosque in Taveuni on the night of July 24th.

Police had earlier confirmed the three were questioned for alleged arson.

The shop in Naqara, Taveuni was destroyed in the blaze.

Police say they also received a report that the Macuata Muslim League Mosque was on fire on the night of July 24th.

They say a team was deployed however the fire was already put out by a neighbour.

The fire was outside the mosque.
