Three charged with murder of Nausori bus driver now charged with manslaughter

Charges against the three men who allegedly caused the death of a 54-year-old bus driver have been amended.

This comes after DPP lawyer Setefano Komaibaba made an application to amend the charges.

Mikaele Lawaniyavi, Josateki Rabula and Isikeli Lagibalavu are now charged with one count each of manslaughter.

The three allegedly assaulted the bus driver in a bus parked at the Nausori Bus Stand on 3 October this year.

The victim succumbed to his injuries and died on 9th October 2020.

All accused persons have been granted bail under strict conditions.

The case has been adjourned to 30th November 2020 for plea.
