Thousands of Hindu’s will be celebrating the festival of colours, Holi today.

Shree Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji President Sarju Prasad says Holi is a celebration of colours and as Fiji is a multicultural country, everyone should unite to celebrate this festival.

He says it is important to also remember those who are less fortunate and are unable to celebrate the festival.

Holi is a festival where the triumph of good over evil is celebrated.

Communications Fiji Limited's radio stations, Radio Navtarang and Radio Sargam are also celebrating the festival in a big way as the Rang Barse Stage Show sponsored by Ram Sami and Sons and Digicel Shake 'n' Win will be held from 2pm to 9pm this Saturday at Rups Mega Complex Nakasi.

The audience can expect dance shows, items by radio personalities and also play coloured powder and win prizes as well.

Listeners can also win prizes by sending in their recipes for the Rang Birangi Mithayan Competition sponsored by Golden Harvest by sending their recipes with a packet or wrapper of any Golden Harvest product.

The competition ends this Saturday.
