Thousands of students return to school in flood hit areas
Thousands of students in flood hit areas return to school today.

This is confirmation from the Ba/Tavua Education office.

Ba, one of the worst hit areas had classes cancelled for 2 weeks.

Schools also confirmed open today are Rakiraki, Tavua, Vatukoula and Nadarivatu.

Water Authority of Fiji confirmed that water tanks are being set up to supply drinking water for students.

Parents are still being advised though to continue to monitor the weather and make decisions should any changes occur.

On doing weather checks around the country:
 
In the West whilst still overcast no rainfall has been reported.

In Rakiraki roads closed to traffic are now open and floodwaters are starting to recede.

In the North, rain has eased in Savusavu since this morning and in Taveuni, rain experienced last night has also eased.

No report of flooding in the North.
