Thousands of people to benefit from new Karavi Weighbridge

Thousands of people will now benefit from the opening of the newly built Land Transport Authority Karavi Weighbridge Station in Ba.

Minister for Public Works, Ro Filipe Tuisawau says this demonstrates their commitment on compliance and safety.

Ro Filipe says this project is an investment of $3.4 million which will stimulate economic activity.

He says Ba is a critical contributor towards the GDP of the nation and it is vital that we assist people with their needs such as infrastructure and various sectors.

He says road safety is an area that the LTA is really working on and there were some changes in terms of the Road Safety Committee.

He further says there is a need to efficiently plan infrastructure while they are looking at the nation’s infrastructure within their budget and are also looking for funding from their partners.
