Thompson and Khan’s matter regarding allegations of breach of USP Council Code of Conduct referred to Ethics Committee

The University of the South Pacific Council has agreed that the matter concerning the Pro-Chancellor, Winston Thompson and the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, Mahmood Khan be referred to an Ethics Committee.

There were allegations of breach of the USP Council Code of Conduct by Thompson and Khan.

The Education Ministers of Cook Islands, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Samoa, Tokelau and Tuvalu have been appointed in the Ethics Committee.

The recommendations by the Ethics Committee will be provided to the USP Council for its meeting on 24th and 25th June.
