Things will change-FFA opposing candidates

Promises have been made by both Fiji Football Association Presidential candidates that we will not see the sacking of National soccer coaches almost on an annual basis and the coach will also have the final say on the National tea.

Opposing candidates, Rajesh Patel and Shailendra Prasad say things will definitely change.

Patel who is a former Vice President of the Fiji FA said he even spoke to former President, Doctor Muhammed Samshud Dean Sahu Khan about this issue when he was in office.

The Fiji soccer team is currently ranked 147th and its ranking always hovers around 140th to 160th.

Meanwhile when asked on how much funding Fiji FA gets from FIFA, Rajesh Patel said the district representatives know the information and we have to check with Fiji FA Chief Executive, Bob Kumar.

Fijivillage contacted Bob Kumar earlier today and he said that he will only reveal the amount if any delegate raises the issue tonight.

Shalendra Prasad said he is currently unaware about the level of funding from FIFA but he said upon questioning that Fiji FA's income and expenditure will be made public by early next year if his team is elected tonight.

The Presidential election begins at 6 o'clock tonight.
