A Navua resident has agreed with the Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum that they will need all the amenities before Navua can be declared a town and adds water supply is an everyday issue in the area after the Attorney General had said that the plan was to declare Navua a town.

This is after another resident told Sayed-Khaiyum during the budget consultation that she would love to see Navua declared a town.

She says when they come to Navua on a Saturday, it is like a city with a lot of people and no parking available.

The woman says the price of land in Navua is also going up and then raised the issue of constant water disruptions in the area.

While responding, Sayed-Khaiyum they wanted to make sure that all the amenities are built before Navua is declared a town.

He also says they will look into the water supply issue.
