A drop near the Tamavua-i-Wai Bridge Lami approach that was a risk for drivers and was also causing a lot of traffic, has now been fixed.
Last Saturday night, a contractor closed off the new bridge and diverted all the traffic to the old bridge.
This had concerned drivers as it was earlier highlighted that one of the main steel beams supporting the central section of the old bridge had a serious crack.
We have sent questions to the FRA and are still awaiting a response.
