A 32-year-old man charged with aggravated robbery and theft of a motor vehicle has been told by Suva High Court Judge, Justice Salesi Temo to get the services of a lawyer.
Nacanieli Bakata and three other men allegedly entered the home of an accountant in Navua and stole assorted items as well as their family car in September this year.
Bakata told Justice Temo that this case can be transferred to the Magistrates Court since there was nor force applied and the complainants did not sustain any injuries.
Justice Temo then told Bakata that one does not only need to punch someone to threaten them.
He also told Bakata that the court is sick and tired of those who rob people in their homes and if convicted Bakata can get a prison term of over 14 years.
The case has been adjourned to the 22nd of next month for plea.
