Thousands of Hindus will be celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna tonight, this festival is known as Krishna Janmashtami and is celebrated worldwide.

Lord Krishna is known as the protector who keeps the world from being destroyed by adherents and it is believed that that he was born to kill the evil King Kans.

While talking to the fijivillage News, Parcharak of Shri Satsang Ramayan Mandali in Tovata, Vinal Chand says Lord Krishna’s birth also gives us a chance to reflect on important lessons such as honesty, compassion, wisdom and courage.

Chand says the majority of the youths are deviating from their religious festivals and they are trying their best to get them involved in these activities.

He adds they are also educating people and how society should work together in teaching their children about the negative impact of drug use.
