The Indian government will be providing more than NZ$569,000 assistance for the six projects proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration.

This is after a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed today between the High Commission of India, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration and the Government of Cook Islands under annual grant-in-aid for implementation of six community development projects in the Cook Islands.

The Indian High Commissioner to Fiji, Palaniswamy Subramanyan Karthigeyan says the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding will further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries.
