From a group of friends performing in church to now making music as one of Fiji’s top local bands, The Gang are ready to take the stage at Fiji’s biggest music festival for the first time at the Uprising Vonu Music Festival next Saturday.
The Gang Band Manager Dan Qalilawa says that since starting out as a group of boys singing covers in their free time or at church in 2015 they have not looked back and they are looking forward to the Music Festival next week.
Qalilawa adds that each band member has a passion for music and together they continue to feed off each other’s enthusiasm to perform for music lovers around the country.
The Vonu Uprising Music Festival this year will have a number of bands returning from the likes of local entertainers The RelatiV, RAKO, including newcomers Jim Crow Blues Band from Adelaide, Australia and local band Four Quarters.
Uprising has also confirmed that there are 2 free buses leaving Suva at 11.15am and 1.15pm on Saturday 11th and both will return at 12.30am Sunday.
The event will run from 12 midday Saturday 11th November and finish at approximately 2am.
