The Fiji Bitter Series title race comes down to the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s

Bonus points are up for grabs at the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s that is currently underway at the HFC Bank Stadium as the race for the Fiji Bitter series title comes down to this tournament.

Former Marist Old Boys Association President and Fiji Bitter 7s Co-ordinator Koli Korovulavula says the Viti Roofing Devo Babas solidified their ranking in the series after winning the Nawaka 7s last week, and they will try to maintain their winning ways coming into this tournament.

Korovulavula says last year's series winners, BLK Lavidi, will need to knock Devo Babas off in the cup quarter-finals if they want to retain the title or a new winner will be crowned after the Marist 7s.

Korovulavula says Devo Babas are the favourites so far.

He also believes Wardens will be the team to beat in the women's category.

In the U21 category, it will be an uphill battle for PSM Aflame to try and retain their title.

Some main competitors for the U21 title are Aloha Taveuni, who won the Nawaka 7s, Dominion Brothers, who claimed victory at the Tabadamu 7s, and Aqua Pro Savuiqali.
