Ten people homeless after a fire incident this morning

Ten people are homeless after a fire destroyed a three flat house in Kinoya this morning.

The National Fire Authority received a call at 11.37am and the team responded immediately however upon arrival, they found the house engulfed in flames.

The team was able to stop the spread of the fire to nearby houses.

In another incident, a farm house in Sabeto, Nadi belonging to a 39-year old woman was destroyed in a fire which allegedly spread from a nearby sugar cane field yesterday morning.

The estimated cost of damage is around $7,000.

NFA CEO Puamau Sowane says it is sad to see families losing their valuables and many years of hard work in these fire incidents especially during such difficult times.
