Technical drawing students at Nawai Secondary School in Nadi now have a new classroom with more space and desks required for their classes.

The new classroom block was officially commissioned today.

Technical drawing students previously used a workshop which did not have enough space and the required desks for technical drawing classes.

Construction started in the middle of March and it was completed in July.

The project cost about forty-two thousand dollars.

$30,200.10 was given by the Fijian government for the project while $12,000 was contributed by the school management.

There are currently 141 Year 9 to Year 13 students that attend Nawai Secondary School in Nadi.

Today, the school's website was also launched.

The website will have online learning platform Moodle available for teachers and students.

Moodle is currently the online learning platform being used by FNU and USP students.

Head of School Pramesh Kumar says they want to make the online classes interactive for students.

Kumar says classrooms already have projectors while the coming weeks smart TVs will be installed in other classrooms.
