A Tebara bus was destroyed in a fire at the bus stop in front of Hanson’s Supermarket in Makoi yesterday.
The Nausori Fire Station says the call was received at 6.09pm.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, half of the bus was already engulfed in flames.
An eyewitness video of the incident shows the fire starting from the front of the bus and then slowly spreading to the back.
Police say the driver had stopped to drop passengers when the driver noticed smoke coming out from the engine compartment.
The driver informed all passengers to get off the bus before the whole bus was engulfed in flames.
The cost and cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Authorities confirm that no one was injured in the fire.
Investigations continue.
