Team Fiji bags a gold and bronze medal after day three of Oceania Athletics Championships

Waisale Inoke and Fiji’s men’s 4x4 team have bagged Fiji’s medals so far at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Mackay, Australia.

Team Fiji managed 1 gold and 1 bronze medal after the 3rd day of competition.

The bronze medal was awarded to Waisale Inoke in the Under 20 Men's Long Jump final where he jumped a new personal best of 7.06m.

The gold medal was awarded to Team Fiji in the Men's 4x100m relay clocking a time of 41.64s.

The team was made up of Waisale Inoke, Banuve Tabakaucoro, Nikola Raiqeu and Ratu Meli Romuakalou.

Meanwhile, Tabakaucoro will today be running in the final of the Open Men's 200m event after finishing second in his heat with a time of 21.63s.

Torika Radocu also did well in her heat of the Under 18 Girls' 400m event and she will be taking part in the final later today.
