Chef De Mission for Team Fiji at the Tokyo Olympics, Patrick Bower.

The Chef De Mission for Team Fiji at the Tokyo Olympics, Patrick Bower says all Team Fiji athletes are safe and COVID-19 free.

Speaking from Japan, Bower says in the recent review released from the City, the case numbers are very low.

He says in the Olympic village, there hasn’t been any case where it links to any of their athletes.

Bower adds they are thankful to the Japanese authorities for keeping the village safe during the competition.

Team Fiji has collected 1 gold and 1 bronze at Tokyo 2020 and they are both from the men’s and women’s 7s competitions.

This is Team Fiji’s best performance at an Olympic Games.

Bower confirms the remaining athletes will leave Japan on the 10th of this month where they will travel to Sydney and transit to Fiji and enter into quarantine for 14-days.
