Team Fiji Women’s Volleyball side claims bronze

Team Fiji Women’s Volleyball side has defeated America Samoa 3 sets to 1 to claim the bronze medal at the Pacific Games Women’s Volleyball competition.

Fiji came from a set down to beat American Samoa 3 sets to 1 in the bronze playoff.

The Fiji Men’s Volleyball side finished in 5th place in the Men’s category after defeating hosts Solomon Islands in three straight sets.

Meanwhile, Team Fiji's Erick Tokona, Maseleima Moss, and Joshua Mara did well in the Open water 5km swim.

Fiji’s Scotty O'Connor won a bronze in the Men’s Windsurfing Heavyweight while Andrew Rhodes also won bronze in the Men's Windsurfing Lightweight.

Team Fiji sailing won two silver medals with Sophia Morgan winning a silver medal in the individual sailing event and teammate Nelle Leenders won the second silver medal.

Fiji have won 7 gold, 15 silver, and 17 bronze so far.

New Caledonia is leading with 48 gold, 34 silver and 30 bronze, while Australia is in second place with 26 gold, 18 silver and 7 bronze.
