Teachers in special schools are getting training to help increase the ability of children with speech disorders to participate in education programs.

This training program has been established through a partnership between Talk Link Trust of New Zealand and the Frank Hilton Organisation.

Talk Link in New Zealand are specialists in providing tools used to replace speech or writing for those that have problems with speaking or understanding the written language.

Hilton Occupational Therapist Shelly Kennedy says their Speech Therapy Unit is currently the only facility providing these services in Fiji.
