Teachers to be disciplined for allegedly forcing students to play Charlie Charlie game

The three teachers who allegedly forced two Year 3 students of a primary school in Tavua to play the Charlie Charlie game in the classroom will be disciplined by the Education Ministry.

Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy said the game is not allowed in schools as it is a distraction and the teachers will be taken to task.

Police are currently looking into a report where a 38-year-old businesswoman reported on behalf of her daughter that she was forced to play the Charlie Charlie game with another student on Monday.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said at this point a report on what transpired is being compiled and the matter will be referred to the Minister for Education for necessary action.
