A teacher’s quarters at Nakavu Village School was completely destroyed by fire early this morning.
The incident occurred around 3.45am when the teacher's wife, and their five children were asleep.
The teacher told fijivillage News that his wife woke up after smelling something burning and alerted him.
He says when he went to check the kitchen, he saw that the switch was on fire.
The teacher says he immediately woke up his children and safely got them out of the house before the flames spread.
