Tavua Market opening hours extended to 7pm

The Tavua Market opening hours has been extended to 7pm.

Minister for Local Government, Premila Kumar revealed this to the vendors during a meeting in Tavua yesterday.

Kumar urged market vendors to co-operate with the councils’ work and ensure that all by-laws are adhered to while selling produce.

She says the Council is also re-looking at the market setup to address the issue of space allocation.

Other issues that were addressed during the meeting were the extension of closing hours of public convenience and the strict monitoring of the loading and unloading zone.
