Fijian wrecking ball Timoci Tavatavanawai has signed a 2-year contract with the Highlanders for the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific competition.
Tavatavanawai, who enjoyed a stellar 2023 season with Moana Pasifika will bring his barnstorming game to Forsyth Barr Stadium in 2024.
Tavatavanawai was part of the Crusaders and Highlanders wider training groups in 2021 and made his first-class debut for Tasman during the NPC later that year.
Following some eye-catching performances in the NPC, Moana Pasifika Head Coach Aaron Mauger signed him for the 2022/23 seasons.
The 25-year-old is one of the few players that have signed a deal with the Otago side including Welsh International, Rhys Patchell.
