Tarakinikini sworn in as Permanent Representative of Fiji to the United Nations in New York

Former Republic of Fiji Military Forces spokesperson,(Retired) Colonel Filipo Tarakinikini, is the new Permanent Representative of Fiji to the United Nations in New York.

He was sworn in today in his new role at the State House.

Tarakinikani will be replacing Doctor Satyendra Prasad.

He took up the acting role in February.

The former military spokesperson served the United Nations for over 20 years after resigning from the RFMF.
