Fijian singer Sumeet Tappoo has been honoured with a USA Presidential Medal for his dedication to humanitarian and philanthropic endeavours.

Tappoo, who is currently touring the United States in aid of children’s heart surgeries in Fiji, says his heart swells with gratitude and humility.

He says Special Advisor to President Joe Biden, Ajay Jain Bhutoria took him by surprise on stage with this esteemed honor, leaving him speechless.

Tappoo says with this recognition comes a heightened sense of responsibility to continue striving for positive change in our world.

Tappoo is the Director of the Sai Prema Foundation and helps run the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital with his wife, Doctor Krupali Tappoo.
