Takayawa injury-free and focused ahead of the Olympics

Tevita Takayawa who is Fiji’s only Judoka at the Tokyo Olympics says preparations for the Games has been going well and he is focused at the task ahead.

The 25-year old says he injury-free and has thanked his psychologist who has been assisting him for the past few months

He has also thanked his coach Takashi Iwasaki and two training partners Nakajima Shouma and Ishii Koyu for their commitment.

Takayawa who hails from Tovu Village in Lau is one of the five highest-ranked Judokas in the Oceania region.

He qualified for the Olympic Games after being nominated by the International Judo Federation for an Oceania Continental spot.

The Judo competition at the Tokyo Olympics will begin on the 24th of this month.
