Christmas has come early in a big way for a 57-year-old farmer of Tailevu after he was handed the keys to a 2017 Nissan Navara worth $75,000 which he won through the eTransport promotion.
The handover was done by a representative of the Attorney General's office Izek Lal in the presence of representatives from Vodafone Fiji Limited and Carpenters.
Usaia Covatu Korodrau of Vusuya Tailevu says the vehicle will help in transporting produce like dalo and vegetables from which he earns his living.
Vodafone Chief Marketing officer Rajnesh Prasad says there have been 50 winners every week for 9 weeks and they have won $50 each.
Prasad says every person who used the eTransport card had gone into the draw to win prizes and the major prize for the year was the vehicle worth $75,000.
Prasad says there have been about 2.5 million e ticketing transactions per week and winners have been drawn from every division.
The eTransport promotions have ended for the year.
