Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Lynda Tabuya shared her interest in finding new ways to forge future partnerships with WOWS Kids Fiji to further the good work and improve the support system for children living with cancer.

Tabuya commended WOWS Kids Fiji on the tremendous work they have been carrying out for the past years in providing support for families with children living with cancer in their journey and to raising awareness on cancer issues in the country.

Board Chair and Co-Founder Sina Kami thanked the Minister for making time to visit them and allowing them to share about the services they provide and some of the challenges they face as an organisation.

Kami noted that the WOWS Kids Fiji was the dream of her late daughter who passed away from cancer in August of 2018.

She says the song she left behind – “Walk On Walk Strong” laid the foundation of what we know today as WOWS Kids Fiji.

The Minister noted that it has always been her passion advocating for children and youth alike.

She says it only fuels her passion to continue to do so when hearing about the incredible work WOWS Kids Fiji are doing.
