The Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Board has partnered with a non-governmental organisation, Mahakaal Janseva to provide back to school packs to around 400 students from the TC Yasa affected areas in Vanua Levu.

TSLB launched its Back to School Supply Drive in December last year and has so far been able to gather 212 packs.

CEO, Bobby Maharaj says they are fortunate that Mahakaal Janseva has also partnered by contributing 185 packs.

Schools such as Vunivutu Primary School, Druadrua District School, Yadua Village School and Uluvalili College have been adopted by TSLB and Mahakaal Janseva with the commitment to provide stationery packs to all students attending these schools.

The back to school packs includes a bag, exercise books, Maths 4C book, water bottle, lunch box, pencil case and writing materials.

Maharaj says parents and guardians of the adopted schools should not buy these items and use their savings to buy other essentials for the students or invest the same in rebuilding their homes and lives post the destruction left behind by TC Yasa.
