The iTaukei Land Trust Board has highlighted the ongoing attempts by individuals to sell iTaukei land in the Nadi area.

Legend FM stresses that iTaukei land can never be sold as stated under the Constitution.

TLTB says only a lease can be sold based on the term approved by TLTB.

TLTB reminds the general public that all dealings and documentation regarding iTaukei land without being processed by TLTB is unlawful and will not be condoned.

If any member of the public should come into contact with any individual claiming to be involved in the sale of iTaukei land whether in Nadi or other parts of Fiji and is not carrying proper identification or documentation, please contact your nearest TLTB office for verification.

TLTB strongly urges the general public to be vigilant and make enquiries at any TLTB office where there is any uncertainty or suspicion involving iTaukei land or dealings relating to iTaukei land before paying any money for the proposed transaction.
