The Sweden Women’s football side will take on defending champions USA in the FIFA Women's World Cup first round knockout stage after topping Group G with 9 points.

Sweden completed its unbeaten run in the pool matches after a 2-0 win over Argentina last night.

Rebecka Blomqvist and Elin Rubensson scored for the team.

Sweden will need a better game plan to overcome USA in the first knockout round this Sunday.

Meanwhile, South Africa will play the Netherlands in the knockout stage after beating Italy 3-2 and claiming the runners-up position.

In other matches, Jamaica and Brazil were tied nil-all while France beat Panama 6-3.
