Suva defeats Naitasiri 28-23 to continue unbeaten run in Skipper Cup competition this year

Defending Skipper Cup champion Suva continued its unbeaten run this season after defeating Naitasiri 28-23 in round 8 of the competition this afternoon.

It was an intense battle at Bidesi ground in Suva this afternoon as both teams came out firing from the first whistle but the Capital City side came out on top. Suva held a slight 14-13 lead at halftime.

In other senior matches today, Macuata beat Yasawa 32-15, Lautoka defeated Tailevu 15-8, and Namosi edged Ba 29-27. In the Under 20 division, Tailevu beat Lautoka 25-17, Naitasiri edged Suva 22-21, and Ba defeated Namosi 22-15.

In the ANZ Marama competition, Namosi thrashed Navosa 83-5, Lautoka defeated Tailevu 31-12, Suva beat Naitasiri 10-3 and Yasawa beat Nasinu 29-20.
