Suva aims for home semi-final berth in Skipper Cup

The Suva Rugby Union is now aiming for a home semi-final berth in the Skipper Cup Competition as they lead the competition points table after 11 rounds.

They have 44 points, Naitasiri has 36 points, Namosi has 33 points while Nadroga has 31 points.

Team Manager Nemani Tuifagalele says if they get lucky they will get another shot at the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy however they are fully focused on retaining the Skipper Cup title.

He also says that Suva’s consistent performance in the Skipper Cup is because of the strong local Suva rugby competition.

Looking at this weekend’s fixtures, Suva will face Naitasiri, Nadroga battles Nadi, Lautoka hosts Namosi while Yasawa takes on Tailevu.
