Suva Grammar School and Veiuto Primary School are planning to work with the Pacific Recycling Foundation in adopting sustainable waste management practices.

This follows serious concerns being raised by concerned residents like Veiuto resident, William Parkinson about waste at the Grammar and Veiuto grounds on certain days after usage of these facilities by some groups.

The Pacific Recycling Foundation has highlighted that both schools will be working in collaboration to introduce the Recycling On Go (ROG) program.

PRF emphasizes that this will focus on students’ mindsets and behaviour, advocating for good recycling practices.

PRF says that further discussions and assessments will be conducted over the coming months to determine the next steps for possible implementation of the Recycling On Go program.

Schools that are actively part of the initiative programs include Jai Narayan College, Jasper Williams High School, Nadi Sangam Primary School, and Queen Victoria School, supported by Swire Shipping and the Ministry of Education.
