The old Birthing Unit building opposite CWM Hospital on Amy Street that was destroyed this morning, is believed to be an act of arson.
It is alleged that a woman was seen entering the building shortly before the fire broke out.
The National Fire Authority says they received a call at 4.24am and firefighters arrived at the scene by 4.30am.
The NFA adds that the investigation will begin tomorrow.
