Super 7s Series: Police to meet Mount Masada in the women's cup final

The Police women's 7s team displayed a controlled defensive structure to shut out Yasawa and win 15-7 in their semifinal clash in the Fun Flavour Super 7s Series.

Police scored a try in the first half and took a 5-0 lead at halftime.

Former Fijiana player Ani Mei led the charge for Yasawa in the second half to get a converted try and give Yasawa a 7-5 lead.

Police maintained their discipline in defence and managed to turn over possession from Yasawa twice in the second half to score two tries and secure a spot in the women's cup final.

In the second cup semifinal, Mount Masada put on a dominant performance scoring seven tries to thrash Striders 50-0.

Alowesi Nakoci scored three tries for Mount Masada.

Fijiana reps Raijeli Daveua, Sesenieli Donu, Ana Naimasi and Reapi Uluinasau also scored tries.

The women's cup final will be played at 4:50pm tomorrow.
