Sugar Cane Growers Fund invites student loan applications for the Uni Fiji’s new Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering Programme

The University of Fiji’s new Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering programme has received industrial support from the Sugar Cane Growers Fund.

The fund is available to sugar cane growers or students from active cane farming families to support their student loans to study and obtain a degree qualification in agricultural engineering at the University.

The Manager Lending and Operations for the Sugar Cane Growers Fund Sagar Dayal says that for loan application enquiry and eligibility, applicants can visit their offices located in Lautoka, Ba, Nadi, Tavua, Rakiraki, Labasa, and Seaqaqa and applications can also be made through the digital platform – mobile app MYSCGF.

The Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering degree is recorded on the Fiji Higher Education Commission’s Fiji Qualification Framework and recognized as a qualification offered by the University of Fiji.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Fiji, Professor Shaista Shameem said that employment opportunities available to a qualified Agricultural Engineer were many.
