Sudan based Fiji soldiers expected to be pulled out
Fijian soldiers based in Sudan are expected to move out from there after a heated conflict got worse in the last few days.

Speaking to the soldiers and officers at the Christmas Service at QEB on Friday, Prime Minister and Commander of the Fiji Military Forces, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said the RFMF will discuss further on whether the Fijian troops should continue to serve in Sudan due to the current situation.

Commodore Bainimarama also told the soldiers to remember fellow soldiers who are serving in Iraq, Golan Heights and the Middle East this Christmas.

Meanwhile, according to BBC reports, four US service personnel on an evacuation mission have been wounded after their aircraft were shot at in South Sudan.

At least 500 people have been killed since the fighting began.
