Students of Wainunu in the province of Bua will no longer have to push their school bus on their way to school after the Fiji Roads Authority upgraded the road at Batinivuriwai Hill.

The Minister for Public Works, Transport and Meteorological Services of Fiji, Ro Filipe Tuisawau highlighted this in a Facebook post during his tour to the North.

Ro Filipe says it's a painful experience to see that students are pushing their school bus to reach school on time or to reach home safely due to the condition of their roads.

He says the Ministry started their work as soon as they received their allocated budget from the Government.

Ro Filipe has reassured the people of Wainunu, Bua that the Ministry aims to continue their work of upgrading our roads as soon as possible.
