Students of Holy Trinity School in Suva are collecting donations to assist in the good work of Sai Sanjeevani Children's Heart Hospital in providing medical treatment to children.

While speaking to fijivillage News, school head teacher Johnson Rura says they have a good relationship with the foundation.

He says they appreciate the assistance and free medical treatment provided by the hospital and as part of their initiative and assistance, the students have a donation box in their classrooms where they contribute any amount of money they wish to.

The headteacher further says after two or three weeks of collection, the money will be given to the foundation to help children in the hospital getting a treatment.

Rura is also encouraging parents and students to take action now and get their children screened for any heart disease.

The Hospital provides free heart surgeries and medical treatment to children in Fiji and other countries including Kiribati, Tuvalu, Vanuatu Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.
