Students and Military Officer arrested for breach of curfew

Students in their 20’s and a 28 year old Military Officer were arrested for breach of curfew in the Western Division from 11pm last night to 4am this morning.

Acting Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu says these people were also drunk at the time of their arrest.

Tudravu says a total of 52 arrests were made.

He further says the Western Division recorded 23 cases, the Southern Division had 15 cases, the Eastern Division recorded 9 cases while the Northern Division recorded five cases.

Tudravu adds that in the Southern Division 8 arrests involved those who were drunk during time of arrest.

The arrests made in the Eastern Division were made in Korovou, Nausori and Nakasi.

All five arrests recorded in the Northern Division were made in Labasa.
