A 15-year-old student is admitted in the Lautoka Hospital with serious injuries after falling down Delai Natalau Hills in Sabeto yesterday afternoon.

The student was hiking with friends and fell 5 to 7 metres down a hill, sustaining serious injuries.

Police officers from the Sabeto Police Station were deployed to the scene and due to the difficult terrain, a decision was made to hire the services of HELIPRO Fiji to help transport the student to the Lautoka Hospital.

Police have acknowledged the support of all emergency service providers and volunteers who assisted in the successful rescue efforts.
