The Education Ministry has made it clear as part of its school reopening guidelines that boarding students should not be allowed to leave the school unless approved by the head of school.
It says no student should be permitted into a dormitory which they are not an occupant of.
The Education Ministry says if a boarding student is permitted to leave the school premises, mandatory health screening must be carried out before the student returns to the dormitory.
Visits by parents and guardians to schools will also be strictly monitored and restricted.
According to the Education Ministry, parents and guardians should not be allowed beyond the designated pickup or drop off point without prior approval.
There should also be mandatory screening for all students before they are allowed to return to boarding facilities.
